PELERIN remote surveillance system

For remote surveillance missions, Safran Electronics & Defense offers the PELERIN system for the transmission of HD video, audio and localization data streams from helicopters.

The system is composed of onboard segments and ground segments. The onboard segment is composed of a gyrostabilized optronic platform, a control console and a transmission system. For this observation and remote surveillance function, the system secures communications and prevents them being intercepted or the system being used. These streams are transmitted to the ground for real-time use through various ground reception stations (stationary or mobile) and a supervision room.

SAGAT airborne surveillance system

For remote surveillance missions, Safran Electronics & Defense offers the PELERIN system for the transmission of HD video, audio and localization data streams from helicopters.

The airborne system is composed of onboard segments and ground segments.

The helicopters in the airborne surveillance system capture the geo-referenced video streams via the optronic pods fitted to them and are used onboard by the optronic console and its recorder. These streams are also transmitted to the ground for use in real time through medium-range mobile stations on the ground. When the medium-range mobile station is connected to the Client network via a fiber-optic link the flows can be transmitted by the Client infrastructure network to a command/supervision center for use.
