Sagem earns supplier awards from Airbus and Airbus Helicopters

The Avionics division of Sagem (Safran) has earned Airbus Helicopters' Best Improver award in the "supplier relations management" and "support" categories. The improvements recognized by Airbus Helicopters for 2014 concern all aspects of Sagem's industrial performance, especially quality and on-time delivery of both new and repaired equipment.
The awards follow the announcement of Sagem's entry among the Top 10 customer support suppliers in the Airbus Rating. Sagem also earned the top ranking for the in-service reliability of its avionics equipment.
The Airbus Rating is an annual survey of airlines concerning supplier support service quality. It assesses the service provided by companies providing support services for their fleets, based on three main criteria: products, costs and service delivered to the airlines or aircraft manufacturers.
According to Joël Berkoukchi, director of Sagem's Avionics Division, "Our improved rankings are the result of an all-out commitment by our teams and investments in recent years, but also the support and confidence expressed by our customers. The deployment of a global network providing close support for all customers is a top priority for the coming years, as is the emphasis on competitiveness and higher performance for our service business."
Sagem's avionics business includes flight controls and cockpit systems, computers, navigation systems, flight recorders and flight data management, safety-critical software, etc. The company continues to develop high value-added services that contribute to aircraft performance, flight safety and the competitiveness of all operators.
