Sagem signs major partnership agreements with Aerosafe and Gael Ltd. for flight safety and risk management

Paris Air Show - Le Bourget, June 21, 2011

Sagem (Safran group) signed two major partnership agreements for flight safety and risk management on Tuesday, June 20 as part of its deployment of an array of aviation services, designated Cassiopée.

Sagem's agreement with Australian company Aerosafe Risk Management, based in Sydney, will bolster the risk management and safety management system facet of the company's Cassiopée product line. Aerosafe has earned international recognition for its expertise in risk and safety management from regulatory authorities, the aircraft industry and airlines. Through this partnership, Sagem will be able to offer outstanding operational and organizational needs analyses for airlines, business jets and helicopter operators.

Sagem also signed an agreement with global safety and quality management solution provider Gael Ltd, who has offices in the UK, USA and UAE. Together, they have developed an integrated gateway between Sagem's Analysis Ground Station (AGS) and Gael's Q-Pulse product. Based on this agreement, the two companies will be able to offer a turnkey solution that enables the recording and analysis of flight data within a safety and risk management system, audits and training.

The agreements were signed by Kimberly Turner, Chief Executive Officer of Aerosafe, Ashley Marron, Chief Operating Officer of Gael, Ltd., and Joël Berkoukchi, executive vice-president Avionics Division of Sagem.

Through these two partnerships, Sagem aims to become the world leader in risk management and flight safety services for airlines and other operators from around the world. It will offer best-in-class analysis services, along with a new application providing complete operational support services. More than 160 airlines and other operators now use each of these integrated applications.

More generally, these agreements will enable Sagem to consolidate its Cassiopée product range, by offering top-quality ground and flight services to all operators, including airlines, business jet owners and helicopter fleets.
