Frédéric Mazzanti named head of Sagem’s Avionics division (Safran Group)

Frédéric Mazzanti, 50, has been named director of the Avionics division of Sagem (Safran group). He replaces Patrick Samier, who is moving to another position within the Group.

A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris engineering school, Frédéric Mazzanti started his career with Sagem in 1983. After overseeing the development of inertial navigation systems, then heading the secure information systems department, in 2001 he was placed in charge of the Massy plant and its industrial reorganization.

In 2005 he was named head of operations for the company's Optronics and Air-Land Systems division, before being named head of sales and marketing for the Avionics division in July 2007.

Frédéric Mazzanti attended the 61st session of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense National, the national defense college, in 2008-2009.
