We would like to reinforce our Research & Development department with a team-oriented

Research Scientist Geo-Positioning (f/m)

YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

  • • Algorithm development for localization, orientation and north-finding sensors
  • • Implementation and testing of north-finding and geo-positioning technologies (interfaces and programming)
  • • Sensor evaluation and market survey
  • • Work within international cross-functional teams to implement new features in our products
  • • Collaboration within the R&D, Product Management and assembly teams
  • • Monitoring and evaluation of competing technologies
  • • Collaborate with external research centers, industrial partners and different Safran sites

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE:
As a person you convince with good analytical and communicative skills. Together with colleagues from various nationalities, you make a significant contribution to the conception and life cycle support of our products. A Master degree or a PhD in physics or engineering is essential for this position. Candidates should be experienced with industrial device development and testing as well as linear and non-linear parameter estimation methods. Experience and interest in surveying, north-finding and navigation, in particular construction and application of Kalman Filters, would be a plus.
Good written and spoken English and German skills allow you to work successfully with your contact persons (internal and external). French would be a plus.
