We would like to reinforce our Research & Development department with a team-oriented

Development Engineer Geo-Localisation (f/m)

YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

  • • Algorithm development for localization, orientation and north-finding sensors
  • • Implementation and testing of north-finding and geo-positioning technologies (programming and interfaces)
  • • Market survey and sensor evaluation
  • • Collaboration within the R&D, Product Management and assembly teams
  • • Monitoring and evaluation of competing technologies
  • • Collaborate with external research centers, industrial partners and different Safran sites

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE:
As a person you convince with good analytical and communicative skills. Within international cross-functional teams, you make a significant contribution to the implementation of new features, conception and life cycle support of our products. A Master degree or a PhD in physics or engineering is essential for this position. Candidates should be experienced with industrial device development and testing as well as solid knowledge of linear and non-linear parameter estimation methods. Ideally, you already have experience in surveying, north-finding and navigation, in particular construction and application of Kalman Filters.
Good written and spoken English and German skills allow you to work successfully with your contact persons (internal and external). French would be a plus.
