Rate Gyro Unit 10 20 & 30MS56 series

The MS56 series was specifically designed for applications combining a very low signal-to-noise ratio and exceptional bias stability, all at a reasonable cost. The gyro units come as a kit or in a hermetically-sealed box with up to 3 axes, depending on customer requirements.
The "Quapason" sensor is a highly robust resonating gyroscope.
The gyros are dedicated to sights and optical systems, RCWS, small and medium-caliber guns, feed forward gyro for more precise stabilization, as well IMU in civil applications.
Drawing on its expertise covering all gyroscope technologies (vibrating gyros, wheeled mechanical gyros, fiber-optic and laser units), Safran Electronics & Defense can deliver the right technologies and the best combination of cost and precision to meet all stabilization requirements.

The 20BM range was designed for high-precision stabilization, on equipment such as large caliber guns, gyro-stabilized gimbals, naval and land turrets or optical sights.
As part of the extensive panel of inertial systems designed and manufactured by Safran Electronics & Defense, this dynamically tuned gyroscope (DTG) offers the best compromise between precision required for stabilization purposes, robustness, reliability, and price.
The gyroscopes or gyrometers come as a kit or in a hermetically-sealed box depending on customer requirements.

The new 20BM67-HP range by Safran Electronics & Defense delivers a digital Plug & Play solution for stabilization needs.
This unit features a dynamically tuned gyroscope (DTG) delivering the best compromise between precision required for stabilization purposes, robustness, reliability, and price, as well as a digital readout.
This new range is well-suited for large-caliber guns, gyro-stabilized gimbals, naval and land turrets or optical sights.

FMU series

Capitalizing on Safran Electronics & Defense' 40-year experience in the development of the FOG (Fiber-Optic Gyroscope) technologies, these full  IMU (Inertial Measurement Units -three FOG and three servo-looped MEMS accelerometers) provide the full inertial raw information for integration into a guidance, stabilization or navigation system.
Open-frame FMUs (FOG-based IMUs), as well as their packaged versions, are particularly suited for airborne, civil and industrial applications which need to combine safety of operation, high reliability and very low noise.
