Mission planning systems
The missions systems designed by Safran Electronics & Defense guarantee optimal management of all of your helicopter and weapons operations. Two modular turnkey systems based on our expert knowledge of army operations, have been developed: Sicops, a collaborative command platform and Helipsys, an advanced mission planning and debriefing system for helicopter crews. They are completely customizable and interoperate perfectly with your existing equipment.
Helipsys is an advanced mission planning and debriefing system for helicopter crews. It manages all types of missions, craft and configurations, allowing multiple users to build, validate and analyze their missions simultaneously.
Used daily in combat operations, Helipsys is an ergonomic system, simple and quick to use and can be adapted to the specific needs of its users.
In the context of a collaborative and distributed process, Helipsys remains efficient and focused on the tactical objectives. it allows crews to plan complex missions quickly by using numerous advanced and optimized tools: 3D, hyposmetry, intervisibility, sight line calculation, conflict detection, 2D and 3D flight simulation, calculations for tactical flights and ground proximity, etc.
MARS (Mission Analysis and Restitution System) is Safran Electronics & Defense's mission preparation system used in modernization programs for aircraft involved in all types of missions: air-to-air, air-to-ground, reconnaissance, etc.
The MARS system is used to prepare aircraft missions, from downloading digital cartographic data to creating transfer media or flight documents. It is also used to restitute the mission from the parameters recorded during the flight. With open architecture, MARS contains the latest 3D imaging technologies in an ergonomic interface, using graphic tools that allow the crew to optimally manage the tactical situation and accurately define the profile and feasibility of all types of missions.
Sicops is a generic and secure intra/extranet-type command system. It is used to supervise the operational activity of an element of armed forces and manage all its resources and means. Built around a cluster of shared services, it offers job modules adapted to the different elements: air, land, marine, police, etc.
Thanks to its collaborative platform, which is shared by all actors in the operational chain, Sicops ensures optimized coordination of operations, with maximum responsiveness. The system simultaneously provides operators with the location of forces and the base's resources, as well as its environment's status (operational conditions of the platform and cleared terrain, alert status, etc.).
